Waterproofing Penetrations Into Structures

There are usually a number of penetrations into a structure, via the exterior cladding and roofing materials, and all property owners should consider it absolutely critical to ensure that these penetrations are kept fully waterproofed at all times, ensuring that the risks of water entry during rainfall is greatly reduced.  Water exposure to incompatible materials can result in severe deterioration and compromising of the materials and it should be avoided at all costs.  Examples of exterior cladding penetrations can include, but are not limited to: air conditioning condensers, chimneys, TV aerials, plumbing pipes, electrical and data cabling, satellite disks and hot water cylinders etc.
